How can I make a difference?

This is a question I struggled with when I got my first agency job. It’s fun to design things for big brands and see them out in the world, but persuading people to buy expensive sneakers didn’t feel like I was contributing to the world in a meaningful way.

I sought out people who were creating change in their community. We worked together to elevate their branding, web presence and fundraising materials. I called my business Ocelot Creative and as years passed, I learned a lot and connected with new clients through word of mouth. 

Now, I persuade people to care. Design is an incredibly powerful tool that can make all the difference in how you are perceived. Good design gets noticed. It motivates people to get involved, to learn more, to donate, to believe in a cause. I care about the people and organizations I work with, and seeing them succeed is the best part of my job.
